Episode Notes

Leo Tolstoy is of the most celebrated authors of all time. While best known for his epic novels, War & Peace and Anna Karenina, Tolstoy was also a prolific creator of powerful parables which grew out of his strong religious beliefs. One of his most famous parables is his 1885 short story, Three Questions in which a king looks for definitive answers to some of life’s fundamental quandaries.

The future is unknowable, the past unchangeable, so all we have is our present in which to make the most our time on earth… it’s a powerful and timeless message.
